Maa Inji Oorugai/ Ginger Mango Pickle , Walk Through Memory Lane Announcement and WTML Winner for April

I know I am very late in announcing this month's WTML. If you are new to this blog, please take a look at WTML page to know more about this event. This month's host couldn't do it and so I will be hosting this month's WTML. Here is a delicious pickle for which I got the recipe from mom. THis is a very old post but now I have updated it with new photos. Many of you will be familiar with Maa Inji - the root vegetable which looks like ginger and tastes like raw mango. This pickle is made fro that root. The addition of lemon juice, gingelly oil, salt and red chilly powder makes it a drool worthy pickle. For recipe, please click on the picture.

From this month, I have decided to give away e-books instead of books I send through courier. So even if you live abroad, you can participate in this WTML and get a chance to win an eBook. The first e-book I chose for the giveaway is Oh! Calcutta by Anjan Chatterjee. So link your childhood favourite food in the linky and get a chance to win the eBook.
